Did you know?: The Iron Bridge, spanning the Rio Cobre River on the outskirts of Spanish Town, St. Catherine, was erected in 1801, from cast-iron prefabricated segments. It is the first prefabricated cast iron bridge erected in the Americas, and the oldest bridge of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
